Have I ever experienced racism? Not directly in front of my face, but I have experienced it indirectly in college and with a former friend. But, I have also experience people talk about people behind their backs and still call them friend this day. Was that racism? Or just being plain ugly. I don’t speak about racism often because I don’t want to go into debates, but today I’m speaking about it. My grandfather was beaten in the middle of the street as a teenager because of the color of his skin. I never got the chance to ask him about that experience, he passed before I became a teenager and could really understand that pain. Until, I went through pain myself years later. At the end of day, I’m praying for change in American. Be the change.
