In 2011, I was so honored to win the Woman’s Club of Houston scholar of the year award. I can’t really remember for word for word my speech, but I do remember what it was about. I spoked about my love for art and community service. Just prior to that speech, I took an acting class at the University of Houston so that prepared me so much! I was super nervous, but with my acting skills I was able to be so poised when speaking to the most amazing women ever!

What is the Woman’s Club of Houston?
Founded in 1893, The Woman’s Club of Houston encourages women to work together to support education and the Houston community, with a focus on women and children, while valuing the long history and traditions of the Club. We accomplish this through philanthropy, community involvement, scholarships, and active membership.
Scholarships
The Woman’s Club of Houston established a $50,000 endowment at the University of Houston Downtown and an endowment at the University of Houston. I won the endowment at the University of Houston in 2011. May 25, 2011, will forever be one of the best days of my life! Forever grateful to those amazing women. Thank you so much for choosing me!

Hey Girl, be a miracle!
