Carnival Cruise

In June of 2013, I was in Galveston celebrating my mother's birthday with my family. We went on a Galveston Island Boat Tour and spotted this beautiful cruise ship, named Carnival Magic. That's when we decided to take a cruise that following December to celebrate our birthday. I mean the Bahamas for your birthday, yes Please!

That December, we took a 7 Day Cruise from Galveston Island to Key West, Freeport, and Nassau Bahamas. In a matter of minutes, it went from 40 degrees to 70 degrees once we sailed into the Gulf. Experiencing the world from the sea was an incredible experience of a lifetime.

Key West

Day 03: In Key West, we booked a bus tour around the island that told the story of Key West. We visited Calvin Klein and Ernest Hemingway homes from the outside. We also spotted a couple of Iguana's crossing the street. Most of Key West beaches are man-made.

Freeport, Bahamas

Day 04: In Freeport, Bahamas we docked in a tourist area and hopped in a taxi to take us to a shopping area. At the back of the casino was the most gorgeous beach that I had ever seen. There were jet skis, banana boats, and parachutes everywhere. I kind of wish, that I bought my swimsuit to enjoy the water more that day. It was a total surprise to be at the most amazing beach. Take a look at the pictures below, it's breathtaking.

Nassau, Bahamas

Day 05: The first building that I noticed was the Atlantis Resort which can be spotted from the cruise. Unlike Freeport, we took a Nassau bus tour around the island and learned about the island's history of food, people, and birth. We were later dropped off at their market where local goods by Bahamians are created and sold to tourists.
